Venue management company ASM Global has announced a new strategic partnership with the London Stadium.

The deal, ASM Global’s first in the UK, will see the business create additional wide-ranging event content to the venue’s calendar.

ASM Global also claimed the partnership will ‘create new commercial opportunities for the stadium through non-matchday programming, while also broadening the company’s footprint in the UK and Europe.’

The stadium, home to Premier League football club West Ham United, has a capacity of 66,000 and was originally built for the London 2012 Olympic Games at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It is also the home to UK Athletics and has hosted major sporting events such as the 2015 Rugby World Cup and the London 2017 World Athletics Championships.

London Stadium CEO Graham Gilmore, said, “We are always looking to improve; and this partnership with ASM Global will help push us on to even greater possibilities, unlocking the huge potential of our venue.”


M&E contractor NG Bailey has won a five-year contract to provide maintenance services for Wembley Stadium in London.

NG Bailey will provide planned preventative and reactive mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance services to keep the stadium operating effectively.

NG Bailey already looks after several shopping centres and other sports facilities.

At Wembley, it says, it will ‘apply its bespoke and flexible approach to intelligent building management in its work with the stadium, using data driven methods to identify and resolve problems more quickly, improve energy and water usage and enhance the management of building assets’.

Operations Director John Cooper, said, “We are looking forward to using our expertise to maintain and enhance the facilities of one of the UK’s most iconic sporting and entertainment venues.”


London Irish and England rugby player Henry Arundell has joined wearable tech company Kymira as brand ambassador.

Arundell joins fellow England international Jonny May on the Kymira roster, after recently overcoming a number of injuries to feature in England’s 2023 Six Nations squad.

The player claims Kymira products played a part in his training and recovery and will now continue using the wearble infrared performance clothing brand as part of the new partnership.

Kymira ambassador Henry Arundell commented, “I’m thrilled to become a brand ambassador for Kymira. Rugby’s a brutal sport and we as players are always looking for ways that might help us perform better and recover quicker.

York Racecourse has announced British jewellery brand Boodles as a new sponsor of the Dante Festival.

The Boodles Yorkshire Cup will be the Group Two feature contest of the final day of the annual festival. It becomes part of the Boodles portfolio of significant races that includes the Cheltenham Gold Cup as well as the Chester Vase.

English Football League (EFL) Two football club Plymouth Argyle has announced construction business Retain Limited principal partner for the 2023/24 season.

Retain Limited, a new addition to the Argyle partnership portfolio, will see its logo adorn the back of the men’s first team’s playing shorts in a three-year deal.

Argyle’s Head of Commercial, James Greenacre, said, “We are delighted to welcome Retain Limited to our group of partners for the 2023/24 season and beyond. Retain is a great fit for Argyle; they are well-established here in Plymouth and share our visions and values.
