Loughborough Sport has confirmed its long-standing partnership with British computer services provider Computacenter has been extended.
The partnership will see Computacenter continue to support elite-level female and Para sport programmes as named sponsors of the Loughborough Cycling Academy, Loughborough Lightning Netball, and Loughborough Lightning Wheelchair Basketball.
Computacenter will also aim to recruit Loughborough students into its graduate training schemes alongside utilising Loughborough’s expertise in executive education courses for current employees.

Sophie Elsworthy – the CEO and co-founder of independent intelligence, due diligence and reputation risk agency InsightX – has been named among the 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch as selected by the Telegraph Media Group and NatWest.
The list is an initiative to shine a spotlight on the ‘most exciting female-founded businesses in the UK.’
Over 700 women from across the UK entered the competition. Applications were selected on their creativity, innovation and perseverance through difficult economic times, and potential for future growth.
On the news, Sophie commented, “It was a huge surprise and honour to be named in the inaugural 100 to Watch list and to find myself in the company of such an inspirational group of women,” explained Sophie.
“Co-founding InsightX and experiencing the rapid growth we have has been no mean feat and has not come without its challenges, highs and lows.”
Six Nations Rugby has announced that its CEO, Ben Morel, will step down at the end of the 2022-23 rugby season.
Morel joined Six Nations Rugby in 2018 and, during his tenure, secured private equity investment through a partnership with CVC capital partners, guided the tournament through the Covid-19 pandemic, and launched the Autumn Nations Cup.
He also signed a multi-year title sponsorship with Guinness for the men’s Six Nations and brokered the first-ever title sponsor, TikTok, for the women’s championship.
The search for Morel’s successor is already underway, with a replacement to be announced in January.
The British Speedway Championship has agreed for its coverage to continue with the British Speedway Network (BSN) in 2023.
The Championship live-streamed 35 meetings through OTT platform BSN in 2023, in addition to official broadcast partner Eurosport’s coverage of the competition.
BSPL Director, Danny Ford, commented, “It was terrific to see BSN enjoy such a successful launch season, and I’m sure subscribers will also been impressed by the way the service evolved and improved during the season.
“We were all delighted with what they achieved, essentially starting from scratch, and I know they have exciting plans to make 2023 even better still.”
