The NFL have announced the launch of the NFL Foundation UK which aims to tackle inequality and lack of opportunities in society by supporting young people aged 12-20 to realise their potential, access positive pathways and take ownership of their futures.

The NFL and the Greater London Authority (GLA) have committed a combined £1 million to the Foundation UK’s work in the capital city from April 2022 to March 2024 and this money will be used to provide grants, training, and equipment to local community organisations across the country that work directly with those most in need, in order to help create a level playing field and ensuring underrepresented young people have equal access to opportunities. There will also be a heavy focus on youth advocacy, through a Youth Summit that will bring together Foundation beneficiaries and senior leaders from business, politics and the voluntary sector.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has been appointed as the official venue network infrastructure supporter for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

To commence with an exceptional connectivity experience, HPE will operate on an accelerated implementation timeline to provide the full portfolio of Aruba technology as a service

The innovative new partnership hopes to make the 2022 Commonwealth Games more connected, more inclusive, and more engaging than ever before. The games are due to get underway from 28th July 2022, concluding on 8th August 2022.


Skateboard GB, the UK-wide governing body for skateboarding, has announced the launch of a twelve year strategy, which outlines the role they want to play to support the growth of skateboarding across all levels, from skateboarding in local communities up to the Olympics.

The Strategic Plan is based on four key pillars which focus on three distinct phases – Building, Refining and Transforming. The first phase (to 2025) will look at creating the appropriate system, programmes, people and culture in order to help transform skateboarding through grass roots to world class performance. In this period it will build purpose & capacity which adds value, supports growth & helps create community so that skateboarding continues to flourish.

Skateboard GB’s role is to add value to the skateboarding community so that skateboarding continues to grow and thrive, with better and more spaces to skate, whilst providing best practice support so that skateboarding can take place in a fun and safe environment.


Guild Esports has announced the latest addition to its pro-gaming roster with its first-ever team signing as it looks to cement its place as a top competitor in the scene. 

The impressive new team is comprised of MaTaFe, Silta, and Horizxon who all join Guild to compete at the highest level in Apex Legends, and are set to benefit from the world class coaching and development set-up at the David Beckham co-owned esports organisation. 

The team represented Guild for the first-time in the Apex Legends Global Series on 16th October 2021. Guild believes there is huge potential for the Apex Legends esports scene to continue to grow and develop, with these latest signings highlighting its ambitions to be a leader from the European region.


BASIS (the British Association for Sustainable Sport) has announced a partnership with the award-winning film production agency, Shoot the Company.

In a first project between the two brands, the deal will see Shoot the Company instated as Official Content Partner for BASIS, in charge of producing films for upcoming campaigns.

BASIS encourage all sports organisations to think about how they can improve their sustainability credentials. BASIS has been supporting sports clubs, venues and governing bodies with advice on sustainability for a decade, with its members including the likes of Arsenal Football Club, England Rugby, the Jockey Club and the ECB
