Premier League football club Nottingham Forest has announced two significant appointments within the club’s senior team.
Tyson Henly has joined as the new Chief Commercial Officer. Henly has over two decades of global sports marketing and sales experience across a number of different roles in sport and joins Forest after three years as Chief Commercial Officer with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
As a former UEFA executive, Tyson advised a number of the biggest brands, media organisations and federations in sport for some the most visible and prestigious sporting events in European football, including the European Championships and the UEFA Champions League.
The second is appointment is Wendy Taylor as Director of Communications. Taylor has spent eight years as Head of Media & Communications at Newcastle United and more recently, as Strategic Communications Lead for the senior England Women’s team at The Football Association.
Wendy led the communications strategy for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 and UEFA Women’s EURO 2022. She was also appointed by the British Olympic Association to lead on communications for Team GB Football at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
English Football League (EFL) Championship football club West Bromwich Albion has confirmed the launch of an investigation into the historic loan taken against the club by former owner Jeremy Peace eight years ago.
The club’s minority shareholders, Shareholders For Albion (S4A) had previously revealed the club are looking to fund a probe into the £3.7m loan Peace took out in 2014, a sum Peace borrowed against the club and into his own company, WBA Holdings.
It was claimed by S4A that former chairman Peace may have used the loan to WBA Holding to assist in purchasing increased shares in WBA Group, the club’s parent company.
An independent investigation has been set to begin in the new year and could take up to six months to review findings.
English Football League (EFL) One football club Charlton Athletic has announced a number of senior appointments.
As well as appointing former Bristol City manager Dean Holden as its new First-Team Manager, the wave of new hires has seen Andy Scott made Technical Director, former Hull and Sunderland Chief Executive Jim Rodwell become Chief Operating Officer and Ed Warrick join as Finance Director.
