UK sports broadcaster TNT Sports will introduce ‘player mics’ to Gallagher Premiership Rugby this weekend.
The new TNT Sports technology, supported by Premiership Rugby, will be used during the Bristol Bears vs Bath derby on Saturday 27th January.
The wearable tech will be worn by a Bristol player for TNT Sports viewers to gain a new insight into the physicality of sport and see ‘unprecedented insights into on-field dynamics’.
Elsewhere, Gloucester Rugby’s home fixture against Sale Sharks on Sunday 29th January will also see a new and improved ‘Ref Cam’ introduced to the TNT Sports broadcast.
GB Sevens Rugby has announced Titan Wealth as a principal partner and main shirt sponsor for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 HSBC World SVNS.
Independent financial solutions firm Titan Wealth has secured a deal that spans both the GB Sevens Rugby men’s and women’s sides.

EFL Championship football club QPR has partnered with international sports equipment provider Forza.
The deal sees Forza become the West London football club’s official club and training ground equipment supplier.
The partnership extends the club’s relationship with Forza after the academy entered into an agreement with Net World Sports, of which Forza is a brand of, at the start of 2022/23.
QPR Commercial Director, Euan Inglis, said, “Working with FORZA to supply equipment to all football-related departments at the club has been a very easy decision for us.
“Their products are second to none, so we are obviously delighted to extend our partnership with them.”
IMG ARENA, a sports data and technology business for the betting, media and performance sectors, has selected Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its strategic cloud provider.
In a statement, IMG ARENA has described the move as an opportunity ‘to help the company reimagine the sports fan experience.’
IMG Arena will leverage AWS’s industry-leading cloud computing and management tools to develop new products, and aim to enhance IMG ARENA’s live streaming, data collection and fan engagement offerings for partners.

England Football Learning has launched an Introduction to Coaching Disabled Footballers module.
The free online module aims to help existing grassroots clubs become more confident and inclusive towards coaching disabled footballers.
The course follows the 2021 launch of ‘Football your Way’, the FA’s landmark disability football plan to help develop, improve, and raise awareness of disability and disability football.
Lawrence Lok, National Coach Development Lead, FA Education said, “We’re delighted to launch the ‘Introduction to Coaching Disabled Footballers’ module, which aims to help increase public awareness and education around how grassroots coaches can adapt their existing sessions with some very easy steps.
Getting to know your players and adjusting sessions, using some of the strategies explored on the course, will help make delivery more inclusive and improve the experience for everyone. All the elements of our disability club support package are there to support and inspire the grassroots workforce, and help kickstart a disability provision at more clubs around the country at which point we will truly make football a Game For All.”
