The Premier League has announced new funding to benefit clubs and fans at all levels of the game as part of its Premier League Supports campaign, which will be visible at all Premier League matches between 1st and 9th April.
The announcement sees two new investment packages being launched.
Firstly, the Premier League Stadium Fund will see a total of £9m is being made available to support non-league and women’s clubs with the installation of energy-efficient LED floodlights at their stadiums, reducing energy bills and improving sustainability.
The Premier League Fans Fund will invest a further £5m over the next two seasons into initiatives that will help strengthen the bond between clubs, fans and local communities. Grants between £10,000 and £25,000 will be made available to clubs in the Premier League, EFL, National League, FA Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship.
Both funds form part of the £1.6bn investment the Premier League has committed for wider football and communities between 2022 and 2025.
Wearable fitness tracker brand WHOOP has announced British entrepreneur Steven Bartlett as the company’s newest ambassador.
Bartlett, a star of BBC’s Dragons Den, joins a WHOOP ambassador roster that already includes Rory McIlroy, Patrick Mahomes and Virgil van Dijk.
The deal will see Bartlett and WHOOP collaborate on a number of social media and real-life activations, as well as sponsorship of Bartlett’s podcast, The Diary of a CEO.
Bartlett will also provide ‘direct feedback on product development.’

Sports fan travel operator Sportsbreaks.com has partnered with the charity and social enterprise Sporting Memories in the UK.
The one-year deal will see the two organisations work together to deliver several campaigns throughout 2023, attempting to raise funds and awareness for fans living with dementia.
The partnership will span a wealth of sports Sportsbreaks.com offers ticket, travel, and hotel packages for, including Formula 1, football, and the Rugby World Cup France 2023.

Manchester 2023 Para Swimming World Championships has named Japanese swimming goggle brand Swans as an official supplier.
owned by Yamamoto Kogaku Co., Ltd, Swans will provide the goggles to the athletes for the competition which will be held at the newly refurbished Manchester Aquatics Centre from 31st July to 6th August 2023.

London-based agency ROOTS. has been appointed to activate Wolf Lubricants’ long standing partnership with the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) series throughout the 2023 rally calendar.
The deal with the Belgian lubricants brand will see ROOTS. lead on social media strategy, creative application, and implementation, planning and conceptualising campaigns. The agency will capture and curate video content on site at a selection of World Rally Championship events around the world.
