EFL Championship club QPR has appointed Christian Nourry as its new Chief Executive Officer. 

Nourry replaces Lee Hoos who retired from the role last week while continuing his position as Chairman of the club. 

Nourry, who has spent the last five years working as an advisor and consultant for football ownership groups, was most recently Managing Partner for football data analytics and advisory business, Retexo. 

Christian Nourry, Chief Executive Officer of QPR, said, “I am looking forward to working for QPR and to lead the club as it enters a new chapter, one which the fans deserve.

“I want to take this opportunity to first and foremost congratulate Lee on his retirement after a rich career as a football executive.

“I am happy to be continuing the work which I have already been undertaking with the owners following their deep period of reflection since the end of last season. I am truly excited by the next-generation football project that we are building together.”


Sports marketing agency Two Circles has promoted Alice Briegel to Sales Director.

As part of the move, Briegel will join the leadership team in rights management

The 2024 UK Indoor Athletics has announced Microplus as its new title sponsor. 

Microplus, which specialises in timing, data processing, CIS services and TV/ virtual graphics, has worked with UK Athletics on the national Championships since 2022. 

UK-based Microplus will once again provide their services for the 2024 edition of the competition. 

Cherry Alexander, Strategic Lead for Major Events and International Relations at UK Athletics, said, “We are delighted to announce Microplus as the title sponsor for the Microplus UK Athletics Indoor Championships in February. We have a strong working relationship with Microplus which has developed at our national championships over the last few years, and this is a significant moment in our partnership.

“We would like to extend our thanks to Microplus for their support and we are thrilled to be working with them on the Championships in Birmingham in a few weeks’ time.”

The Championships will run from 17th-18th February at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.
