Rugby League World Cup 2021 (RLWC2021) has announced a series of appointments ahead of this year’s tournament, which begins in October.
Cravens has been appointed as Lead Creative Agency, with Bonded to manage all paid media for the tournament. Digital Sports Consultancy Seven League, owned by IMG, has been appointed to lead digital strategy.
Mick Hogan will lead the revenue team – which brings together the marketing and commercial departments – while Upneet Thandi joins as Head of Marketing. Rob Meaden has become Head of Communications, while Lucy Jones is the new Head of Match Operations.

Producers of the Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso and Nike have signed a deal for the fictional English football club AFC Richmond to sport Nike kits in the show’s third season.
The deal was celebrated in a series of tweets from the accounts of Nike and Ted Lasso, with images showing a red and blue kit featuring the apparel supplier’s logo.
