League Two football club Tranmere Rovers has announced that global conglomerate company Essar will continue its partnership with the club for the forthcoming season, and will be displayed on the front of the new fan-designed first team shirts.

Tranmere Chairman, Mark Palios, said, “I am delighted that Essar will again be our principal sponsor, because over recent years we have established a great partnership which goes far beyond simple advertising.  Essar have embraced many of the community projects we have launched, often with very little fanfare, at their request.  This included funding the provision of food parcels at the height of the Covid lockdown and supporting the Super White Christmas appeal, ensuring that local children from financially struggling backgrounds get to enjoy the kind of Christmas that many of us take for granted.  I would like to thank them for their magnificent support over a number of years, and particularly during the difficult Covid period, and I look forward to continuing to work with them for the coming season”.
