Team England’s opening ceremony wear for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will be produced by Community Clothing.

As host nation at Birmingham 2022, Team England’s 400 athletes will be looking to impress at the Opening Ceremony ahead of the 11-day competition. The Opening Ceremony will take place on the 28th July 2022 at the newly redeveloped Alexander Stadium in Birmingham’s Perry Barr.


Everton in the Community has appointed Richard Cronin as its new Executive Director to oversee the continued growth of the official charity of Everton Football Club. 

The appointment of Cronin to Executive Director of Everton in the Community comes after Richard Kenyon stepped down from his role as the charity’s Chief Executive Officer to take on an expanded and strategically pivotal role for Everton as the Club’s Director of Communications, Revenue, and International Growth.

In his new role with the charity, Richard Cronin will work closely with its existing Directors and Board of Trustees to grow and develop the Club’s charitable arm with a specific focus on its educational portfolio and enhancing the many opportunities presented by the Goodison Park Legacy Project.  


Global law firm DLA Piper has partnered with human performance specialists Game Changer Performance (GCP) to deliver a unique challenge for clients during the autumn months, focused on supporting their health and fitness.

As well as having access to their own performance coach, DLA Piper’s clients will be able to: integrate their fitness wearables and apps so their coach can monitor physical activity, access bespoke workouts tailored each week for their individual needs with guidance from GCP’s comprehensive exercise video library, track their nutrition each day to ensure they are fuelling correctly, access a range of related health and fitness content to support their challenge each week and share their successes via a group chat function.

The culmination of the challenge in December will see the clients attend a performance day at St George’s Park. The day will revolve around GCP’s multi-disciplinary team of human performance specialists, including physiotherapists, physical performance coaches, nutritionists and psychologists providing a range of workshops and 1:1s for the clients to engage with, focused on lifestyle, mindset, and movement.


BBC Radio will continue to broadcast the Guinness Six Nations Championship, having agreed a new four-year partnership that will run between the 2022 and 2025 seasons.

As in previous Six Nations Championships, every home nation game throughout the competition will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 Live or 5 Live Sports Extra, with all commentaries also available on BBC Sounds and across BBC radio.

The 2022 Six Nations Championship will begin on the weekend of February 5th.
