The World Triathlon Para Series Swansea, Britain’s first standalone race at the highest level of annual paratriathlon, has announced Volvo Car UK as its official title partner.
Volvo 2022 World Triathlon Para Series Swansea will bring together the best paratriathletes from around the world on Saturday 6th August and takes place just a week after visually impaired paratriathletes from around the Commonwealth compete at Birmingham 2022.
Andy Salmon, British Triathlon CEO, said of the partnership, “We’ve worked closely with Volvo Car UK for a number of years. This is a really exciting development in our relationship as we seek to grow and develop paratriathlon in Britain and globally, helping to prepare Paralympic champions as we move towards Paris. Hosting World Triathlon Para Series racing in Britain has been a long-held ambition for us as the national governing body and this partnership is a key driver in us achieving this.”
Gareth Southgate and Sarina Wiegman will both speak at the first ever England Football Live Virtual Conference. As part of the FA’s commitment to support coaches to develop their skills and grow the game at all levels, the brand-new conference has been announced and will take place 2nd July 2022.
The online conference is aimed at UEFA A or B licence and Talent ID Level 3 or 4 qualification holders, as well as those who aspire to gain these qualifications, who will have the opportunity to join an entire day of discussions, practice designs, ideas and Q&As related to football coaching, futsal, goalkeeping and talent ID.
Digital platform for athletes Strava will partner with the Hackney Half as official run partner to elevate the pre-event and event day experience. The partnership will include an exclusive training event on 4th May and Team Strava’s coaches will share their top tips on how to prepare and conquer the half marathon in a live Q&A.
On race day, runners will be supported along every stride with the help of the Strava Pacers; starting with a pre-race ‘meet-up’ at Strava’s Kudos Corner in Festival Village on Hackney Marshes. Once on the 13.1-mile route through the streets of East London, Strava will motivate runners with the ‘Kudos KM’ Segment Challenge and Cheer Zone near the finish line.
