English Football League (EFL) Championship club Wigan Athletic has announced a new partnership with British video game developer Sports Interactive for the 2022/23 season.
The deal will see the Latics promote Sports Interactive football management simulation title Football Manager (FM).
Wigan partnered with the global brand last season, in a deal that saw the Football Manager branding appearing on the back of the home and away shirts as side sealed the League One title. Now, in the second tier of English football, the Football Manager branding will feature on the home and away dugouts for the duration of the current campaign.

“SI are an international brand that need no introduction and have established themselves as industry leaders for a prolonged period.

London-based global integrated marketing agency CSM Sport & Entertainment (CSM) has announced the appointment of Luke Matthews as Head of Sales – Australia.
Luke joins CSM following three years as Head of Corporate & Foundation at Wests Tigers Rugby League Football Club.
Luke has sepnt over 23 years in the sports industry, leading commercial teams across a portfolio of international sports governing bodies (Fiji Rugby Union), national rights holders (Australian Turf Club), sport management / marketing agencies (Southern Cross Sports Marketing), and brands (Bluetongue Brewery).

London-based sports fan engagement company Sport Buff has announced Nicklas Zajdel, an experienced figure in gaming and online-betting, has joined the business as both a partner and investor.
The significant appointment follows Sport Buff’s successful delivery with global broadcasters at FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar and the announcement of $2.5m (£2m) of seed funding in August 2022.
Nicklas Zajdel has previously held roles as Group Chief Operating Officer for Fortuna Entertainment Group, Managing Director (Digital) at Ladbrokes, Group Omni-Channel Director for Ladbrokes Coral group and VP Business Operations at Playtech Turnkey Services.
