English Football League (EFL) Championship football team Hull City has announced Turkish cryptocurrency exchange Tomya as its new back-of-shorts sponsor.
Its branding will feature on the Tigers’ home, away, third and goalkeeper kits throughout the 2022/23 campaign, starting with tomorrow’s friendly against Fenerbahçe at the Sakarya Atatürk Stadium in Adapazarı.
After Corendon Airlines was announced as new front-of-shirt sponsor in a club-record Championship deal last week, Tomya has become the second Turkish-based company to team up with the Hull City ahead of the new campaign.
Bristol-based digital marketing agency DNRG has announced that it will become the official shorts partner to English Football League (EFL) Championship football team Bristol City FC men’s side. It will also sponsor the women’s team for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 seasons.
This partnership will see the DNRG logo feature on the back of the shorts for all three Bristol City kits, in their respective leagues.
Neil Rogers, CEO of DNRG, said, “The whole DNRG team are extremely proud to be supporting Bristol City as secondary kit partner sponsors for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons. The agency was founded in Bristol and our roots are firmly associated with this great City. DNRG works with many of the existing Bristol City partners, and a significant range of other local Bristol businesses, so this partnership cements our belief in integrating and supporting the local community at every level.”
American multinational financial services corporation Mastercard has distanced itself from brand ambassadors and golfers Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell of the controversial LIV Golf Series, Sports Business Journal has reported. Poulter had signed an endorsement deal with Mastercard in 2009, and McDowell joined the brand in 2011.
Poulter did not wear the Mastercard logo on his shirt in last week’s LIV event in Oregon, but the logo was back on his collar in the opening rounds of this week’s Genesis Scottish Open, co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.
McDowell has already had been dropped by another financial sponsor. Royal Bank of Canada halted sponsorship of the former U.S. Open winner after he announced he would join the LIV Golf Series.
