World Chess has agreed a three-year partnership contract with UK-based media company Sunset+Vine to cover its production, distribution, and media consultancy services.

The initial contract period will run from 2022 to 2025, with the first key event in the World Chess calendar being the Armageddon Championship Series.

The Armageddon Championship Series is the first chess tournament developed as a high drama sports television production, with the show set to include a high-speed format, and new and innovative graphics and camera angles.

Sarsfield Brolly, head of media partnerships at Sunset+Vine, said, “We are delighted to have been chosen to partner with World Chess, and as was proven with the huge international success of the Queen’s Gambit, are thrilled to be part of this new venture in bringing Chess to the modern consumer.”

London-based sports digital and marketing agency Seven League has appointed Sunil Singhvi as its new Vice President, Digital.

Singhvi has left his role as Chief Business Development Officer at NFT marketplace Rarible.

Singhvi has also held roles at Instagram as a Strategic Partnership Manager and at Twitter as Director of Music Partnerships.

The Football Association (FA) has appointed Deji Davies as its Chair of its Inclusion Advisory Board [IAB].

Davies is currently a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, as well as a board trustee of education charity Future First and ambassador for the charity Awaken Genius.

He will join the IAB in November and succeeds former professional footballer and Kick It Out co-founder, Paul Elliott CBE, who held the role for eight years.
