#siawards2021 – Our Covid-19 Measures

At Sport Industry Group, we’re so excited to bring the industry back together for the Sport Industry Awards. 

While Government restrictions have lifted, and we’re all eager to reunite, the health and safety of our guests, event staff and suppliers remains paramount. As a result, we have introduced our own measures to ensure that everyone will feel safe and comfortable to fully enjoy the event. 

ATTENDING THE SPORT INDUSTRY AWARDS

To attend the event, we have introduced two new COVID-19 safety measures:  

1. Proof of full vaccination  

AND

2. Proof of a negative lateral flow test taken within 24 hours of the event  

In addition, we will ask for the following three elements that we have done in previous years: 

3. Physical ticket  

4. Photo ID 

5. Provide your contact details to your table host ahead of the event, for strict venue and event security purposes and for us to be able to contact you if necessary 

Details on all of these are as follows:  

1. PROOF OF FULL VACCINATION

You can get proof of full vaccination 2 weeks after your final dose of the vaccine (2 doses of the Moderna, AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccine, or 1 dose of the Janssen vaccine). 

England – NHS COVID Pass

NHS App on your mobile:  

• Download the free NHS App  

• The NHS App is not the same as the NHS COVID-19 App 

• Once in the NHS App – Get your NHS COVID Pass > Continue > Domestic (to view the valid pass) > View Covid-19 records (to check it’s related to your full vaccination) 

NHS website on your mobile:  

• Visit the NHS website 

• This is not recommended as you will need to have access to this link on the night and logging in can take longer than usual when there are high numbers of requests 

• Once online – Domestic (to view the valid pass) > View Covid-19 records (to check it’s related to your full vaccination) 

Please do not download your NHS COVID Pass as a PDF as we will be unable to check your full vaccination status, therefore it won’t be accepted. 

Letter: 

• Request a letter to be posted to you via the NHS website or by calling 119 

Wales – NHS COVID Pass

NHS website on your mobile:  

• Visit the NHS website 

• The NHS App is not available to those registered in Wales 

• Once online – Domestic (to view the valid pass) > View Covid-19 records (to check it’s related to your full vaccination) 

• Please do not download your NHS COVID Pass as a PDF as we will be unable to check your full vaccination status, therefore it won’t be accepted 

Letter: 

• If you are unable to use the digital version above, you can request a letter to be posted to you by calling 0300 303 5667  

You will need an NHS login to use the NHS App or the NHS website, so you will be asked to create one if you don’t have one already. 

Scotland – COVID-19 vaccination record letter

Request a print version online: 

• Login to the NHS Inform patient portal  

• Your login details can be found in your COVID-19 vaccination appointment letter  

• You will need a login to use the website, so you will be asked to create one if you don’t have one already 

• Once online – Vaccination status > Request to print your COVID-19 vaccination record letter 

Request a print version by phone: 

• Call the COVID-19 Status Helpline on 0808 196 8565 

Northern Ireland

COVIDCertNI App on your mobile: 

• Follow all the instructions for the COVIDCertNI App here  

Vaccinated in another country?

If you have been vaccinated in another country, please contact Larissa Vintner using the details at the end. 

2. NEGATIVE LATERAL FLOW TEST

• Order your free lateral flow test in advance of the event here www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests  

• Follow the instructions accompanying your test kit to do the lateral flow test within 24 hours of the event  

• Report your test result within 24 hours of doing it here www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result  

• You will receive a text message and email confirming your result  

• England & Wales: If you include your NHS number when submitting your test result, this will also show in the NHS App or the NHS website (follow the previous instructions to check this) 

3. PHYSICAL TICKET

Your table host will send you your physical ticket or make alternative arrangements to get this to you. 

4. PHOTO ID

Please bring your Photo ID for random checks in accordance with strict venue and event security. 

5. CONTACT DETAILS

Your table host will ask for your job title, company and email address ahead of the event. Please provide these details for strict venue and event security purposes, and for us to be able to contact you if necessary. 

Please note: Do not attend the event if you feel unwell, have any COVID-19 symptoms or receive a positive lateral flow test result – please follow existing government guidelines. 

DURING THE SPORT INDUSTRY AWARDS

As well as the above, we’re also making the following changes to ensure you can celebrate safely and in style:  

• Reduced capacity 

• Access to both your table and the reception areas all night, increasing space for all guests 

• Increased space in-between all tables  

• Hand sanitiser throughout the venue 

• Increased cleaning throughout the venue 

• Security, venue and waiting staff will wear face masks 

AFTER THE SPORT INDUSTRY AWARDS

As an additional post-event check we encourage everyone to take a lateral flow test even if you feel well and show no COVID-19 symptoms. If you do receive a positive test result, then please follow the existing government guidelines and contact Larissa Vintner using the details below.
