Co-op Live, the new music, entertainment, and sport arena set to open in Manchester in spring 2024, has announced a new ‘arena level’ partnership with Sky.

Under terms of the new agreement, Sky becomes the official TV entertainment partner of Co-op Live, with Sky customers able to gain access to a unique 150-capacity Sky VIP lounge located on level 4 within the new arena.

According to a statement, tickets for the Sky VIP lounge will be issued via a ballot system which will launch in 2024.

Gary Roden, Executive Director and General Manager, Co-op Live said, “We are thrilled to announce this exciting partnership with Sky which will deliver unforgettable experiences for Sky customers at Co-op Live. We have been working with Sky to create something truly unique for their customers and I can’t wait to step into the Sky VIP lounge. Co-op Live promises to be the country’s epicentre of unforgettable experiences, setting a new standard for live entertainment when it opens next year, and this would not be possible without our incredible partners.”

Helen Kloepfer, Director of Sky VIP, added, “We’re delighted to launch our next Sky VIP lounge at Co-op Live – an incredible new arena that is pushing the boundaries in entertainment. With tickets to the show part of the Sky VIP lounge offering, Sky customers will have the opportunity to see some of the best acts touring the UK whilst experiencing the VIP treatment in the lounge.”

Set to open in April 2024, the 23,500-capacity venue is currently under construction on Manchester’s Etihad Campus, the home of Premier League champions Manchester City.

The project is a joint venture between Oak View Group and City Football Group, alongside private investor and singer Harry Styles, who has been instrumental in the design of the venue.
