Sky Sports has signed for the screening rights to cover the 2010 cricket Ashes series in Australia.

The agreement to provide live coverage of the series is part of a bigger deal that gives the Sky Sports the rights to all Australian international cricket from 2009 until September 2012.

Also included in the agreement are Australia’s home series against Pakistan and West Indies in 2009-10, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka (2010-11) and New Zealand and India (2011-12).

Sky was the first broadcaster to provide multi-platform coverage of an England cricket tour with the 2006-2007 Ashes series.
