Sky Sports Extends BBL Broadcast Deal
Sky Sports has extended its broadcast partnership with the British Basketball League (BBL) and will continue coverage throughout the 2022/23 season. The BBL will continue to operate in partnership with UK-based production company Buzz 16.
This will be the third consecutive year that Sky Sports has aired British basketball’s elite competition. As part of the agreement Sky Sports will continue to air matches live across their platforms throughout the British Basketball League and Women’s British Basketball League season. This includes the BBL and WBBL Trophy Final, Cup Final and Play Offs, as well as action every week during the regular Championship season.
Basketball continues to grow in the UK with record attendances at arenas across the country and fans tuning into watch the best of action on Sky each week. Securing a renewal with Sky is another step to the BBL’s ambitions to become the second biggest basketball league in the world.
