Pay-TV broadcaster BSkyB is set to cut the number of issues of its Sky Sports magazine in half from March, when the title moves from monthly to bi-monthly.

The UK’s most widely read sports publication, according to NRS estimates, will also be revamped with updated editorial, design and layout in the move.

Sky Sports magazine will increase from 44 to 60 pages from its April issue and offer customers insider access to Sky Sports, including behind the scenes commentary and pictures, features from Sky Sports pundits and expert analysis on upcoming sporting events.

Exclusive interviews and features on the biggest sports personalities and legends, plus fan profiles, and a centre page pull out sports calendar and poster will also feature regularly.

The overhaul follows last month’s revamp of Sky Magazine, which increased it frequency from 10 to 12 times a year.

In November, Sky Sports magazine ended a three year relationship with the Haymarket Network by bringing its publishing duties in-house.
