Sky Sports Nets US Open Rights

British broadcaster Sky Sports has announced a new five-year partnership with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) for the rights to the US Open Championships.


The new agreement will begin with the 2023 US Open at Flushing Meadows, starting on August 28th, with Sky Sports holding the exclusive broadcast rights up to and including the 2027 event.

The agreement includes coverage of both the men’s and women’s tournaments, alongside respective double’s, mixed doubles, juniors, and wheelchair competitions.

Sky Sports will have access to all individual court feeds throughout the two-week Grand Slam tournament. As well as coverage across Sky Sports’ linear coverage, content will be available across will provide content across digital and social channels.

Sky Sports has previously had a long relationship with the USTA, as partners for 25 years between 1991 and 2015. As such, Sky welcomes tennis back to its channels next year with the US Open being one of the most prestigious Grand Slam tournaments in the Open era.

British tennis will have high hopes going into next year’s US Open. Former US Open Champion Emma Raducanu and the Billie Jean Cup team will be targeting victory in women’s tennis, Alfie Hewett comes off the back of taking the 2022 US Open Wheelchair singles title, and Cameron Norrie, Andy Murray, Jack Draper and Daniel Evans all secured wins at Flushing Meadows last year.
