Sky Sports has extended its partnership with the United States Golf Association (USGA) which sees it retain the UK broadcast rights to the US Open Championship.
The three-year deal will see golf’s US major championship remain on the British subscription broadcaster until at least 2025.
Sky Sports viewers will continue to be able to watch US Open on its Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Golf channels, with the next edition of the tournament taking place at Los Angeles Country Club in California from 15th to 18th June.
The 2024 contest at Pinehurst and the 2025 event at Oakmont are also covered in the agreement, along with the US Women’s Open and a host of other USGA events.
The US Amateur Championship and US Women’s Amateur Championship will also be shown live, along with the US Senior Open – where Padraig Harrington defends his title later this year – and the Curtis Cup match between the United States and Great Britain and Ireland.
The deal strengthens Sky Sport’s golf portfolio with all four men’s majors and all five women’s majors exclusively live on the broadcasters dedicated golf channel – Sky Sports Golf. This includes the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, LPGA Tour and Ladies European Tour, as well as the Solheim Cup and Ryder Cup contests between Team Europe and Team USA this September.
