Sky Sports will show the world’s top tennis players for another five years after announcing two new deals, including Andy Murray’s US Open grand slam defence at Flushing Meadows in August.
The two new deals covers the US Open, in a three-year deal, and the ATP World Tour – a five-year deal starting next year for live events from the ATP World Tour, including the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 in London.
Barney Francis, managing director of Sky Sports said: ‘These deals offer Sky Sports viewers the biggest names in tennis in some of the best events including Andy Murray’s defence of the US Open later this year.’
‘The agreements underline our unrivalled rights portfolio across six channels and continue a busy period of rights renewals, with over 20 agreements in the last year alone. With The British & Irish Lions Tour, back-to-back Ashes Series, the ICC Champions Trophy, every race live in the F1 season, Super League, US Open & US PGA Golf, Andy Murray defending his US Open title and of course our biggest ever season of football, there has never been a better time to be a Sky Sports viewer.’
