As the 2014 event tees off in Augusta yesterday, Sky Sports has confirmed it will continue broadcasting the Masters in the UK after signing a new multi-year agreement, starting from 2015.

The extension will see the subscription network continue to provide live coverage of all four days of competition from the golf season’s first Major, which began at Georgia’s Augusta National on Thursday.

Sky’s coverage of the event will also include the preceding Par 3 Contest and extra programming such as footage from the practice range, featured groups, and rolling highlights.

In addition, the broadcaster will also produce a ‘Masters Breakfast’ show, which will air each morning and include views and analysis from the tournament.

Barney Francis, managing director Sky Sports – who have been a broadcaster of the Masters since 2011 – said: ‘We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Augusta National. The Masters is more than a Major, it is a magical tournament played on a magnificent golf course, producing incredible golf every year.’

‘Only on Sky Sports can viewers enjoy all four days live, plus the annual Par 3 Contest with extra coverage across a variety of platforms. We look forward to continuing our coverage of the Masters and providing the coverage this unique golf event deserves.’
