Slack Makes Switch To Img Football

Senior Wasserman Media Group executive Jefferson Slack has joined sports giant IMG as senior vice president, global business development, football.


Slack joins IMG from Wasserman Media Group where he worked as Executive Vice President, responsible for all European marketing operations.


During his time there Slack developed and maintained relationships with major clubs and federations in Europe including FIFA, UEFA, Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus, Inter, AC Milan, Lyon and Barcelona. He also led the acquisition of SFX Europe Sports Agency. 


Slack previously worked as CEO Interactive for F.C. Internazionale Group where he managed all business affairs for Inter Milan football club through Inter-Active, a wholly owned subsidiary of F.C. Internazionale.


Slack’s main role within IMG is to provide strategic overview and recommendations on the development of the IMG Football brand and opportunities for growth of the business. He will also lead IMG in leveraging current global activities and assets to grow IMG’s football activities on a worldwide basis.


Key areas of growth will include expansion of TV rights and client representation rosters; development of opportunities to stage and promote tournaments and acquisition of further major competition hospitality rights.   


Slack will be based at the IMG regional headquarter office in London.
