London Pulse has appointed Snack Media to a social media brief as the capital club prepares for its first season in the Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL).

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park-based club will become the first London team ever to compete in the league when the new season kicks off in January.

The franchise will work with sports digital specialist Snack Media to bring the London Pulse Netball narrative to life, with a focus on encouraging new and existing netball fans to follow the side and attend live matches.

Snack Media’s role will cover content creation and social media management, including live reporting during VNSL matches.

The company, which recently added RugbyPass to its portfolio, already engages with over 26 million sports fans per month.

Commenting on the partnership, Natalie Seaton, London Pulse Netball CEO, said: “There is a huge opportunity for growth for the club. London Pulse is striving to become the hub of netball in London and continue to provide London-based athletes with the opportunity to perform at an elite level. This is where the knowledge and support Snack Media will provide in the digital world is going to be crucial.

“In only a short time since we agreed to work with Snack Media, they have been instrumental in helping us finalise our digital strategy, whilst coming up with exciting and innovative ways to deliver content that will engage with fans.”

Niall Coen, Snack Media founder and managing director, added: “The club has a fantastic set-up, a hungry leadership, a diverse playing squad and a loyal fanbase, which makes for an exciting project.

“We are proud to be working with them in their debut season in the VSNL and look forward to helping them boost their supporters and digital presence.”

London Pulse will open its 2019 VNSL campaign on the 5th January away at Severn Stars – a game that will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

It was last month confirmed that the club is to train and play home games at the Copper Box Arena in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford.

In recent months, London Pulse has also secured partnership agreements with Gilbert Netball, who will become the kit, clothing and ball supplier to the franchise from next season.
