Société Générale Signs Up To Rugby World Cups

Société Générale has become the official bank to the Rugby World Cup 2011 and the 2015 tournament in England.??

The French firm joins a multi-national inventory of major commercial partners for Rugby’s showpiece tournament, which is being played from 9th September – 23rd October 2011.

The announcement extends Société Générale’s long-term commitment to global Rugby after being an official partner of the France national team since 1987 and a partner of the French Top 14.??

The company also joined the Rugby World Cup Worldwide Partner inventory for the 2007 tournament in France.

As a sponsor for the Rugby World Cup 2011, Société Générale has access to a package of rights, including use of the RWC 2011 event marks and designations in promotional tie-ins.

?The announcement further enhances the multi-national flavour of commercial partners for Rugby World Cup 2011.??

So far the other partners include: Emirates Airline, MasterCard, Heineken, ANZ, DHL and Coca-Cola.??

The Rugby World Cup 2011 in Zealand is set to be attended by over 1.6m spectators and watched by a global TV audience of over 4bn in more than 200 countries.
