Sony Renews Champs League Deal

Sony Europe has renewed its lucrative sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League for the next three year contract cycle running through until 2012.


With the renewal of the multi-million pound agreement, Sony will continue its association with Europe’s most prestigious club football tournament, a partnership which started in 2006. 


Sony Europe is the second of six official sponsors whose agreement with UEFA for the 2009-2012 period of the UEFA Champions League has been confirmed following in the footsteps of Heineken.


The remaining Champions League partners yet to renew their contracts are MasterCard, Vodafone, Sony PlayStation and Ford.

The UEFA Champions League is watched by more than 140m TV viewers each match week, broadcast in 230 territories.
