Spar Signs First Athlete Deal With Meadows

Spar UK has agreed a three-year endorsement deal with British athlete, Jenny Meadows, to support its sponsorship of athletics in the UK and in Europe.

The deal is the first time that Spar has entered into an individual athlete endorsement deal despite being a long running backer of athletics, having first signed as principal sponsor of the European Athletics Association in 1996.

Meadows will work with Spar UK to promote its Summer of Sport campaign and will feature on the company’s new website.

Meadows won bronze at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin last summer.

Spar became a sponsor of UK Athletics in 2004 and has appointed MEC Access to handle its sponsorship account that was previously managed by Fast Track.
