The Special Olympics GB has signed a pro bono agreement with professional services firm EY, providing research, insight and reviews across a number of the organisation’s business areas.
EY’s main objective will be to carry out an independent review of Special Olympics GB’s existing financial, governance and risk management systems. EY will also provide insights on the wider charity sector to inform Special Olympics GB’s strategy moving forward.
Paul Richardson, Chairman of the Special Olympics GB Board of Trustees, said: “To have one of the world’s leading professional service firms working with us on a pro bono basis is a ringing endorsement of Special Olympics GB and what we are trying to achieve. We are hugely grateful for this opportunity.
“This review is another example of Special Olympics GB’s strategy of working with the best-in-class expertise to support our commitment to transform our operation as we continue our growth journey.
“By adopting a best-in-class approach to managing risk and governance we are increasing our ability to deliver on our vision of reaching more people and transforming more lives of people with intellectual disabilities through sport.”
