Speedo Dives In With Glasgow 2014 Deal
Glasgow 2014 has unveiled Speedo as the latest addition to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Sponsor Family, becoming the Official Swimwear Provider for the Games for the supply of swimwear and equipment, including goggles, caps and training aids.
The company, which was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a Scotsman, in 1928, will also give technical support to athletes when required and will also provide backstroke flags for the Games.
David Grevemberg, Glasgow 2014 chief executive, said of the deal: ‘Speedo is the world’s leading swimwear brand and we are excited to have them on board as an Official Provider for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. This support ensures that the highest quality swimwear and accessories are available to athletes competing in Swimming and Triathlon.’
