Euroleague Basketball has extended agreements with a trio of sponsors, with VTB Arena Park, Detur and Efes Pilsener continuing its association with the competition, with more deals expected in the coming weeks, according to media reports.
VTB Arena Park, a new sports and entertainment facility under construction in Moscow, will back the Euroleague for another season, after initially joining the pan-European club basketball competition in 2012.
The renewed deal includes the right to host a future edition of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four, Euroleague Basketball’s flagship event, and includes a range of marketing rights.
Turkish travel and events agency Detur will continue to offer travel, accommodation and hospitality packages for Euroleague events next season.
Efes Pilsener, a Euroleague partner since 2008, has renewed its deal for a further two seasons, which will see the brand become Euroleague’s longest-serving marketing partner by the time the new deal ends in 2017.
The three renewals have reportedly contributed to a 15% increase in the organisation’s sponsorship income for the upcoming 2015/16 season, with sponsorship revenue doubling over the past five years.
Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague Basketball’s president and chief executive, added: “Once again, these extensions prove that brands who have trusted us are getting a true return on their investment and are willing to continue trusting Euroleague Basketball.
“The attractiveness of the product and its extensive distribution across all platforms and territories has taken the appeal of the league to the highest standards ever.”
