Entries for the Sport Industry Awards 2022 have officially opened.

After a hugely successful in-person return in September, the awards will revert to its traditional slot in the sport industry calendar, with the 2022 event confirmed for Thursday 12th May at Evolution London.

The Sport Industry Awards, which has a total of sixteen prestigious awards up for grabs, celebrate the immense work done around the sector, whether it’s delivering world-leading events of all formats and scale, or using sport as a platform to drive social change, to those campaigns that have an ingenious creative spark which reverberate around the industry and beyond.

The ever-popular Communications Award returns this year, whilst the Campaign of the Year Award is divided back into two categories, UK and International, and Sport Organisation of the Year is restored as an entered category.

The Sport Industry Awards 2022 also sees the introduction of two new award categories. Firstly, the Environmental Sustainability Award will recognise and reward organisations and initiatives that are delivering environmental benefits through sport.

Also launching this year is the Original Content Award. With people’s content consumption habits ever-changing, this award is designed to celebrate the best in high-quality, engaging, and creative productions – whether that’s video or audio, and from high budget documentary series down to independent creators that have built an engaged audience across multiple platforms.

There will also be the prestigious industry recognition that comes with the Judges Awards this year including the Coutts Lifetime Achievement Award, The Integrity and Impact Award, and the Coutts Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award, with Marcus Rashford and Barry Hearn being the big winners in 2021.

Entries close at 5pm on Friday 17th December 2021. Check out the full list of categories and start your entry here

Sport Industry Group Managing Director, Dylan Pugh, said:

It’s great to bring the Sport Industry Awards back to its traditional slot in the calendar and we can’t wait to see the vast body of fantastic work that is submitted.

It’s been inspiring to see the resilience and creativity of the sport industry over the past year. The sector has continued to innovate, adapt and thrive, and the Sport Industry Awards remains at its core a platform to showcase and celebrate the immense work that brings so much joy to so many lives.”
