EFL Championship football club Portsmouth has announced local car dealership company Richmond Motor Group as a principal partner.
As such, the Richmond Motor Group logo will appear on the shorts of the men’s team throughout the upcoming 2024/25 campaign.
Sam Nobes, Operations Director at Richmond Motor Group, said, “I’m really proud that we have partnered with Portsmouth Football Club as the new back of the shorts sponsor.
“This collaboration holds special significance for us as Portsmouth FC is not just a football team, but a symbol of pride and passion for the entire city.”
Portsmouth Director Of Sales, Mark Judges, added, “It is great to welcome another local business as a principal partner of the club, as Richmond Motor Group become the new back of shorts sponsor for the men’s team.
“We look forward to driving increased awareness of Richmond Motor Group over the course of the season, a year in which they celebrate their 30th birthday – having launched on the great island of Portsmouth in 1995.”
Portsmouth was relegated from the Premier League following the 2009/10 football season and subsequently entered financial administration twice and was and relegated three times, dropping down to League Two.
Following this difficult period, the team won League Two in 2016/17 and League One in 2023/24.
US video game commerce company Xsolla will serve as the main sponsor of Stevenage FC men’s and women’s team for the next two years.

Beginning with the upcoming 2024/25 EFL League One season, the Californian company’s logo will feature prominently on kits worn in all league and cup games, plus replica kits, official YouTube content and social media channels, pitch perimeter, digital programme and officially licensed video games.

Stevenage’s first game in the upcoming EFL League One season will see the team host Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, 10th August.
Chesterfield FC has signed an exclusive deal with Ticketmaster following its promotion to EFL League Two last season, which saw record crowds attend the club’s 10,600-capacity SMH Group Stadium.
Chesterfield CEO, John Croot, said, “Given the increased demand for tickets we have experienced, it was important that we found an effective solution to meet our ticketing requirements.
“We are delighted to be working with Ticketmaster Sport, a company with an excellent reputation that can deliver the level of service we require.”
Elite Ice Hockey League team Nottingham Panthers has confirmed the return of residential air testing company Lincs Air Testing as a major sponsor.
The logo of the Lincoln-based business will appear on the ice and team jerseys and they’ll again be the official sponsor of the away team penalty box.
The Panthers finished 9th during the 2023/24 season.
