Shorts: Declutter & Do Good, Dazn, The New Saints

Over 6,000 items of pre-owned sports kit have been collected as part of Visa, David Lloyd Clubs and Kitround’s ‘Declutter & Do Good’ campaign.

The three-way partnership has seen David Lloyd Club members and Visa athletes, including Chelsea and England footballer Fran Kirby, donating old sports kit that will be uploaded and sold at sports clothing marketplace Kitround.

100% of the list price of all ‘Declutter & Do Good’ donated items will be donated to three key beneficiary charities – Football Beyond Borders, Youth Sport Trust and London Irish Foundation – with Visa will donating an additional £1 per transaction (up to £20,000) to the cause.

Mandy Lamb, Managing Director, UK&I, Visa, said, “We are delighted to be part of this campaign and all of us at Visa are dedicated to championing inclusion and equality, on and off the pitch. Sports must be available to all, and this partnership is helping these youth charities with their important work, removing the barriers to sport for young people while highlighting the benefits of recommerce, encouraging people to take part in the circular economy.’


The UIM E1 World Championship has secured an international broadcast partnership with sports streaming service DAZN.

The new agreement, which includes distribution across DAZN’s free tier, will begin with the E1 Monaco on 27th and 28th July and run until the end of the electric powerboat series’ current season.

According to a statement, the multi-territory deal includes ‘Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and Southeast Asia among other territories.’

Cymru Premier champions The New Saints have renewed their partnership with Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which will continue as the club’s official social media partner.

Under terms of the deal, Liverpool John Lennon Airport will receive advertising across the club’s social media channels, as well as pitchside advertising space at the team’s 3,000-capacity Park Hall home ground.

Tom Woods, Marketing Manager at Liverpool John Lennon Airport said, “We’re delighted to be teaming up with The New Saints FC once more for the upcoming season, as they embark on yet another European campaign. Not only are we the closest international airport to the club’s Park Hall Stadium, but the move also pairs the Cymru Premier’s top team with the UK’s number one airport.
