Sport Industry Nextgen Partners With Cognite

Sport Industry Group is delighted to announce that Cognite, specialists in team dynamics and leadership, has become an Official Partner of Sport Industry NextGen, the leading professional development programme for the sport sector.

Founded by chartered psychologist Tom Young, Cognite works with clients in sport and business to drive high performance by developing mindsets and connecting teams. Through specialising in performance psychology, leadership, and team dynamics, Cognite has worked at the highest level of professional sport, providing psychological support to organisations and individuals from the worlds of football, rugby, and golf.

As part of the partnership, Cognite will deliver two sessions for our NextGen Leaders, who were announced at the beginning of December. The first will be an interactive session centred around assessing the role of trust and commonality towards team dynamics. The second session will cover the key takeaways from Tom’s first book, ‘The Making of a Leader’, offering a unique insight into the leadership principles, beliefs and strategies applied by leaders operating within high performance environments across the globe.   

Most recently, Tom has been part of the coaching team of European and PGA Tour golfer Tommy Fleetwood. Additionally, he has been a consultant to the Belgian national football team, St Helens RLFC and the European Ryder Cup team.
