The winners of the Sports Podcast Awards have been officially announced.

Following weeks of public voting across 21 categories, the Sports Podcast Group unveiled the victorious podcasts across social media on Friday 14th April.

The Athletic sealed the Best Team Podcast award, with its Tottenham Hotspur podcast taking the win, while James Richardson’s Totally Football Show winning the Best Soccer Podcast category.

Morning Kombat, RugbyPod, and God Bless Football all won the best podcast in their respective sports, each defending their crown from last year.

Fantasy Footballers were also repeat winners, but in the newly-created Fantasy & Sports Betting category. As were Folding Pocket Production, who followed up last year’s success in the Best Documentary Podcast for Defiance with victory this year for the BBC’s Moment of Truth Podcast.

It was a fantastic night for the No Balls Cricket Podcast, also one of BBC’s flagship shows, as they were the only pod to win two categories. Hosted by England bowler Kate Cross and World Cup winner Alex Hartley the pair won The Best Cricket Podcast and The Best Equality & Social Impact Podcast.

The independent podcast scene saw multiple winners on the night, with The Crossover with Joe Arlauckas, and Nick Luck Daily winning in the Best Basketball and Best Sports Talk categories respectively.
