Leading sports figures, executives and stakeholders will all be convening in Birmingham this April for the SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2024.
The 18th instalment of the conference will welcome 1,500 delegates from 100 countries to the West Midlands from 7th-11th April, in one of the largest annual sports business networking events.
Returning to the UK for the first time since 2011, SportAccord is planting its flag in city that recently staged the Commonwealth Games in 2022.

This year’s lineup of speakers features industry leaders from every corner of the sporting world. Commonwealth Games Federation President Chris Jenkins, World Rugby CEO Alan Gilpin, the NFL’s head of Europe and Asia-Pacific Brett Gosper, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, World Netball President Dame Liz Nicholl, and Epic Games Co-Founder Mark Rein will all be sharing their insights at the 2024 edition of the event.

The Plenary Conference will take place during the final two days of the Summit, running from 9:30 am until 4:30 pm on 10th April, and from 9:30 to 12:00 pm on the 11th.
On the agenda for the first day of the Conference are several pressing topics from across the sports industry. These include the growing impact of gaming and esports and the influence of US sports properties and organisations on the industry, the major challenges currently facing sports federations and rights holders, the future of AI within the sporting landscape, and the usage of technology in sport.
Following on from this, the second day will feature sessions on online abuse in sport, new data-driven approaches to injuries, and the subtle geopolitical significance of sport in 2024.

Indeed, SportAccord will offer a range of cultural experiences throughout the event, including walking, running and kayak tours, which will allow delegates to see more of the city at their preferred pace. There will also be a guided tour of Villa Park, the 42,640-seat home to Premier League outfit and former champions of Europe, Aston Villa.
A Formula 1 Arcade experience will be available to attendees, as well as a Jewellery Quarter Sports Heritage Tour will offer a sneak peak into the Jewellery Quarter’s 250-year history of producing medals and trophies. Attendees will also will be given opportunities to explore the broader West Midlands region, with trips to William Shakespeare’s hometown Stratford-Upon-Avon, as well as Rugby, the town that lends its name to one of the world’s most popular sports.
