Sports Loft, London’s first tech hub aimed specifically at the sports and media market, has today formally launched – at a new Huckletree workspace in Soho.

Founded by Charlie Greenwood, who spent thirteen years working on sports-tech initiatives with Nike, AEG, The FA, and Premiership Rugby, Sports Loft will focus on providing sports and media tech companies access to leading investors, executives, organisations and opportunities.

The organisation launches with four member start-ups, including New York-based Satisfi, data firm Formalytics, local firm Prophet and Auckland-born Spalk.

Sports law practice Northridge will join as Official Legal Partner, while Huckletree will become the firms Official Workspace Partner.

Discussing the launch, Greenwood said: “There is a lot of noise in the sports tech market. With Sports Loft, we are really focussing on bringing the very best sports tech start-ups, investors and industry execs together.

“While London has always had one of the most vibrant sports industries in the world, until now there has never been the eco-system to connect the most innovative tech with the investors and the sport industry.”
