The Sports Partnership has announced that it has signed Premiership rugby player Danny Cipriani for management. The 24-year-old joined the Sale Sharks on a three-year deal this summer from Australian Super 15 side the Melbourne Rebels, where he was their leading scorer last year.
Cipriani came through the Wasps academy, making his debut for the club aged 17.
Three years later, he was named man of the match in his first Premiership start, and made his international debut against Ireland in March 2008, scoring 18 points in a 33-10 victory.
He went on to score a total of 49 points in seven matches for England but hasn’t played international rugby since 2009.
James Williamson at The Sports Partnership commented: ‘Danny is unquestionably one of England’s most naturally gifted rugby players and we’re delighted to be working with him at what is a crucial stage in his career.’
‘As an agency our role will be to provide the necessary environment and platform to allow Danny to remind everyone just what he’s capable of on the pitch and to allow him to focus on rebuilding his international career.’
