sports Podcast Awards Voting Opens
Voting for the Sports Podcast Awards 2023 is now open following the announcement of the official shortlist.
Now in its second year, the global Sports Podcast Awards celebrates the very best of audio entertainment with creators around the world encouraged to enter.
Following a record number of entries, from multiple countries around the world, a group of industry professionals have selected a shortlist for each of the 23 categories.
From combat sports to cricket, the Awards champions a wide range of genres and sports, including the Sports Podcast of the Year, which in 2022 was won by Morning Kombat, hosted by esteemed MMA journalists Luke Thomas and Brian Campbell.
On winning the prestigious award, Thomas said, “Winning the award allowed us to have a live show in Las Vegas with hundreds of fans in attendance. Winning this award has also helped legitimize our podcast, MMA and boxing are still working to break through into the main sports audience but being able to win Best sports podcast and not being one of the four major sports is huge.”
