Sports At Smg Appoints Emea Md

Global communications agency Starcom MediaVest Group has appointed Robin Clarke to the newly created position of managing director, EMEA for Sports at SMG.

The former managing director for Sports at SMG, Clarke oversaw the recent launch of the agency’s sports marketing practice in the US, South Africa and Russia. In his new role, Clarke will be charged with growing the practice across EMEA markets.

Clarke’s previous role will now be filled by Ben Cronin, who becomes managing director, UK at Sports for SMG. Cronin, an SMG employee since 2011, will take over day-to-day management of the agency’s UK business.

“I’m thrilled to hand over the reins of the UK business to Ben, I really can’t think of a better person to drive the next phase in Sports at SMG’s growth path in the UK.”

Sports at SMG EMEA’s current clients include Heineken, Samsung, Capital One, Europcar, the NFL, P&G and Betway.
