Spotify Partners With Riot Games For League Of Legends Sponsorship

Spotify has signed a ‘first-of-its-kind’ partnership with Riot Games which will see the audio subscription service become the Official Audio Streaming Partner for a host of League of Legends Esports global events.

The multi-year deal sees Spotify join up with Riot for the LoL Esports World Championship, the Mid-Season Invitational and the All-Star Event, with the partnership kicking off ahead of the World Championship on 25th September.

The pair will also collaborate on various other projects to provide LoL fan experiences through music and audio. Spotify will create curated playlists inspired by the League of Legends community, and will also create a series of original podcasts, beginning with “Untold Stories: Top Moments from Worlds,” which aims to bring unique insight into the League of Legends World Championship. 

Spotify also will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the popular Worlds Anthem. Released annually leading into the League of Legends World Championship since 2014, Riot Games has collaborated with artists like Imagine Dragons, The Glitch Mob, and Against the Current to produce annual musical records that set the tone for the event.
