Tottenham Hotspur have unveiled Dulux as its first ever Official Paint Supplier.
Alongside the club, Dulux colour experts have identified paint matches for the Premier League side’s iconic lilywhite colours, using ‘innovative colour matching technology’ to bring spaces throughout the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the club’s training centre, and its office building Lilywhite House to life in Spurs colours.
As part of the launch, the world-famous Dulux dog was also given a behind-the-scenes tour of the club’s stadium and training centre for a video which the club says will be released ahead of its game against Southampton on 21st April.
“Our relationship with Tottenham Hotspur is a perfect synergy of two iconic British brands,” said Nuno Pena, UK&I Marketing Director, AkzoNobel – which owns the Dulux brand.
“Spurs are one of the best-known football teams in the Premier League and in Europe, while at Dulux we remain the nation’s number one paint brand.
“Our extensive research and commitment to new product development means we can provide Tottenham Hotspur with high performance products that will tackle the most challenging of requirements, while also meeting the most stringent of environmental standards.
“These products will be combined with colour palettes that our colour experts have curated to focus on enhancing better health and wellbeing outcomes for staff, visitors, players and the coaching team.
“We know it’s the small details that make the difference and give you the competitive edge – in sport and in decorating – and we’re looking forward to expanding on our firm foundations to explore this power of colour together, in both the stadium and in people’s homes, in the years to come.”
Meanwhile, the brand caused a stir on social media when its Twitter accounts appeared to mock the club in a series of quickly-deleted tweets.
