Tottenham Hotspur has launched a new initiative for fans on matchdays, taking inspiration for the London 2012 Games Makers.
In a bid to enhance the matchday experience and deliver employment opportunities for local residents, Fanbassadors will now be on hand to help with any questions for the 2015/16 season.
With the word Fanbassador emblazoned on the rear of their uniforms to make them easily recognisable, supporters will be greeted on arrival on a matchday and provided with key information, from accessing local transport to finding the nearest convenience store.
Fanbassadors will be located at key points on Tottenham High Road, Park Lane, Worcester Avenue, in front of the Spurs Megastore and at the new ticket collections point outside Tottenham Sports Centre.
The programme was trialled at matches during the 2014/2015 season and formally began at Tottenham Hotspur’s first home match of the new campaign – a 2-2 draw against Stoke City on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Premier League club has signed Aquascutum as its formal wear partner in a new three year deal.
Under the terms of the agreement, the British luxury fashion brand will provide made to measure suits to key personnel at the club, including head coach Mauricio Pochettino, the board of directors and the first team squad.
