Members of Tottenham Hotspur and the USA Men’s National Soccer Team tried their hand at basketball, with representatives of the NBA in town ahead of the NBA Global Games London 2015.

The next edition of the Global Games Series will see the New York Knicks return to the UK to play a regular season game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the O2 on 15th January.

Meanwhile, stars of the football pitch – including Roberto Soldado, Etienne Capoue, Brad Friedel – took part in the NBA #HalfCourt Challenge at Tottenham’s Enfield Training Centre.

Aston Villa’s Brad Guzan and Stoke City’s Geoff Cameron were also amongst the USA players who took turns at the challenge which saw them have five chances to score a basket from the half-court distance.

Unsurprisingly, the Americans showed everyone how it was done with Geoff Cameron netting for the USMT and Brad Friedel dropping one in for Spurs.

The four previous NBA regular season games at The O2 have all been sell-outs, included New Jersey Nets vs. Toronto Raptors in back-to-back games (2011); Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks(2013); and Atlanta Hawks vs. Brooklyn Nets (2014).
