Tottenham Hotspur and Under Armour have launched the club’s new kits for the 2016/17 season live on Facebook – a first for the Premier League side.
The 15-minute live show was streamed direct from the club’s training centre in Enfield prior to training and featured Christian Eriksen, Victor Wanyama, Michel Vorm and Kieran Trippier showcasing the new strips.
The first team will step out in the new designs for the first time when they head to Melbourne, Australia, to face Juventus and Atletico Madrid on 26th and 29th July, respectively, as part of the club’s involvement in the International Champions Cup.
Designed in Under Armour’s Innovation Lab in Baltimore, Maryland, the new 2016/17 shirts feature the brand’s latest technology. Weighing only 107 grams and containing the brand’s quick-drying fabric alongside a lightweight fabric with built-in four-way stretch to improve mobility and accelerate dry time.
“On the heels of such an historic 2015/16 season, we are looking forward to another exciting campaign with our partners at Tottenham Hotspur,” said Peter Murray, VP global sports marketing at Under Armour.
“At Under Armour it is our mission to make all athletes better, and we will support the club to take the necessary extra steps both in the Premier League and Champions’ League by supplying them with the most innovative performance wear.”
