Stamp Productions, an independent sports content production company, has been commissioned to produce the film content for the BT Sport Industry Awards 2018 – the largest commercial sports awards in the world, taking place at Battersea Evolution in London, on Thursday 26th April 2018.
The BT Sport Industry Awards 2018 represents the fourth time Stamp Productions have been commissioned to produce films that celebrate individual awards given for outstanding achievements, and a five minute film that pays homage to the past 12 months in sport, which serves as the opening ceremony ahead of the awards themselves. As a production company Stamp has also produced content for some of the brands that have been shortlisted for awards in a variety of categories.
The sport industry’s most anticipated night of the year celebrates the very best work from across the sector, bringing together sports stars, celebrities, senior decision makers, influencers and global media. The famous trophies are awarded on-stage in front of over 1,700 guests at the star-studded event, held annually in London.
In 2017 guests included senior figures from all areas of the sport industry, as well as the likes of Jessica Ennis-Hill, Tom Daley, Nico Rosberg, Laura Kenny, Max Whitlock, Wes Morgan, Chris Eubank Snr & Jnr, Kate & Helen Richardson-Walsh, David Haye and Jodie Kidd.
In 2018 multiple new categories will be contested, with the very best in performance technology, analytics, fan communities, film content, sustainability in sport, and diversity and inclusion all set to be rewarded. New categories include the Best Use of Analytics, Data or Research Award, Digital Community of the Year, Diversity and Inclusion Award, Film Content of the Year, Performance Technology of the Year, and Sustainability Initiative of the Year.
Ben Uttley, managing director of Stamp Productions, said: “Being asked to make these films year in, year out is a tremendous privilege for us since sport films are in our DNA. The main film especially is a hugely challenging project and one that is fine-tuned right up to the day of the event so that the film is up to date with the highs and lows of sport from that year. However, ensuring that each film is unique in itself is an even more significant challenge and a big part of our brief so being asked back each year is the biggest compliment we could ask for.
Alex Coulson, executive director, Sport Industry Group, said: “Asking someone to produce a spectacular opening montage and series of films for a room packed full of industry experts, who live and breathe this world every day, is a big ask. At the BT Sport Industry Awards, Stamp Productions has consistently proved that they were more than up for the task and delivered stunning films that have rightly captivated the whole audience every time. It’s a genuine pleasure working with the whole team at Stamp, we enjoy the collaborative approach, and we are always delighted with the final result.”
