Standard Life Backs British Basketball

Standard Life has announced a five-year deal with British Basketball to become the governing body’s first ever title sponsor.

The deal, which runs through beyond the London 2012 Olympics, will see Standard Life support all four of British Basketball’s world-class teams; Senior Men, Senior Women, Men’s U-20’s and Women’s U-20’s.

Standard Life’s partnership with British Basketball will run from 2009 to 2013 and will begin at ‘Game On At The O2’, a four-nation tournament taking place from 14th-16th August.

Basketball is the third largest team sport in the country – in terms of participation, only football and cricket have a larger playing base.
