One amateur cricketer succeeded where many Australians failed this summer after taking on England Ashes hero Jimmy Anderson in the finale of the Strongbow ‘Earn It’ Challenge, which offered the chance for someone to face one over against the paceman.

Pete Moxom, 25, from Poundbury was one of eight finalists chosen from thousands of applicants to take part in a training programme laid on by the cider brand, with two top coaches helping them prepare both physically and mentally to take on the bowling legend.

After two days of training Pete, from Dorset, was chosen by a panel to step up and take on an over from Jimmy – and emerged with his wicket intact to successfully complete the Strongbow Challenge.

This Cricket Challenge kicks off the Strongbow ‘Earn It.’ campaign, which will see consumers stepping up and taking on a series of high profile personal challenges this year.

Find out exactly how Pete got on against Jimmy at Sport Industry TV.
