The Super League will head to Las Vegas for the first time in 2025, when the Wigan Warriors face the Warrington Wolves on 1st March.

The league’s inaugural Las Vegas fixture will take place at Allegiant Stadium, the 65,000-seat home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, in a rematch of this year’s Challenge Cup final.

The matchup will kick off a quadruple-header of games played in Sin City on the same day, titled the ‘Rugby League Las Vegas Festival 2025’.

The  Super League clash between the Warriors and Wolves will be followed by an Australian NRL game between Canberra Raiders v New Zealand Warriors, before Australia’s Jillaroos women’s national team takes on England.

For the finale, two more NRL teams will meet, when the Penrith Panthers face the Cronulla Sharks.

Earlier this year, the NRL staged its first ever match in Las Vegas when the Manly Sea Eagles took on the South Sydney Rabbitohs on 2nd March to kick off the 2024 season, drawing an attendance of more than 40,000 fans.

This came as part of a two-game series, which also pitted the Brisbane Broncos against the Sydney Roosters.

Rhodri Jones, Managing Director of RL Commercial, said, “To have Betfred Super League featuring when Rugby League returns to Las Vegas in 2025, as well as an historic international fixture for England Women, is a mouthwatering prospect and a huge opportunity for the sport.”

Founded in 2022, RL Commercial launched as part of a 12-year strategic partnership between agency giant IMG, the Super League, and the Rugby Football League.

The governing body was established in order to drive the commercial development of the sport.

“I think many of us in the UK watched the games in Las Vegas earlier in the year and wished they could be a part of it, either playing or supporting,” said Wigan Warriors CEO Kris Radlinski.

“I spoke to my board about the possibility and there was a unanimous desire to be part of the occasion.”

Warrington Wolves CEO Karl Fitzpatrick added, “Playing in one of the World’s best entertainment destinations at a stunning venue is going to be an exciting and memorable experience for our supporters, players and partners.

“It will also put Super League on the map in a sports market full of opportunity.”
